چکیده
Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) exhibit improved symptoms at the start of treatment, but their conditions subsequently deteriorate after a few months treatment. In present study, patients treated glibenclamide and metformin were followed up for evaluation efficacy treatment based on some biochemical parameters in T2DM subgroups. The subgrouped according to glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), sex, urinary albumin creatinine ratio (UACR), uric acid UA levels. A total 662 participated which aimed follow fasting blood sugar (FBS), (UA), UACR, lipid profiles beginning 4 months. Results showed that best effect occurred when classified UACR HbA1c. general, all parameters, especially profile levels, changed proteinuria compared those normal patients. Depending glycemic control subgroups, higher poor fair control, except HDLc, was lowest poor-control revealed significant improvement (p < 0.05) lipids, UA, HbA1c remained slightly increased measured by using subgroups better than obtained from whole group. who initially experienced tended ignore regular restricted diet, thereby worsening parameters.

متن کاملEffects of Folic Acid Supplementation on Proteinuria in Type 2 Diabetic Patients with Overt Proteinuria
Objective: An association between high homocysteine levels and proteinuria in diabetic nephropathy has been shown. On the other hand, supplementation with folic acid lowers homocysteine concentration. We have studied the effects of folic acid supplementation on proteinuria in type 2 diabetic patients with overt proteinuria. Materials and Methods: Forty five (29 men and 16 women) type 2 diabe...

OBJECTIVE The UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guideline on diabetes recommends at least annual monitoring of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) for proteinuria. To date, little has been published on the frequency of proteinuria monitoring in T2DM, and its association with risk factors for renal complications. We aimed to describe proteinuria monitoring in ...
